This film was informally put together. Many of the actors involved in this film were not actors by training. Interestingly enough the actors in the nude scenes hadn’t acted much before at all. The goal of employing these self trained artists with little experience was to get as natural of a reaction from the audience as possible without very much emotional direction. As for the feeling we were trying to create, the environment was enough. It was cold, gray, and snowy. The mud buried out boots. The nude scenes we shot right there in the raw wintery landscape. This didn’t come without challenges. When it comes to making good quality low budget films there are many risks. We got kicked off of somebody’s farmland on the third day of shooting, and many of our actors weren’t prepared for the cold. But the result was worth it. We truly created art.
